Growing up in the inner city of Cincinnati during the 60s, Barvenia successfully navigated the challenges and adversities that she experienced on her quest to discover her path to coaching and becoming a professor at Virginia Union University. This holiday season the Richmond Roadrunners continued to show their commitment to giving back to the Richmond community by supporting a family in need for the holidays. The Roadrunners got together and donated funds to provide a Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas gifts to the Abrams family.
