Kawaune Rawlings
Biography
Kawaune Rawlings was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. After being a two-year starter at Varina High School, Coach Rawlings pursued his basketball journey at Essex County College (Newark, NJ), where he earned his Associates Degree in Health and Physical Education. After Essex County College, Coach Rawlings attended Longwood University (Farmville, VA), where he started 22 games as a walk-on and earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education.
In 2012, Coach Rawlings started his career in teaching and coaching at John Rolfe Middle School. In the span of 8 years, he has coached girls and boys on the middle school and high school level. In 2016, Coach Rawlings also obtained his Master’s Degree in Sports and Recreation from Ohio University (Athens Ohio).
Coach Rawlings is currently employed by Henrico County Public Schools as an elementary school Physical Education Teacher. Coach Rawlings is married to Kristal Rawlings and has 4 children: Kaleb (14). Kalyn (10), Kaden (7), and Kason (5).
